Shri Laxminath Mandir-Bikaner

Shri Laxminath Temple is located in Bikaner. It is the oldest temple in the city. The shrine was built in the 14th century by Maharaja Rao and took 22 years to complete the construction. The Shri Laxminath Temple and Seth Bhandasar Temple are adjacent to each other and is also situated around four kilometers from the Junagarh Fort and three kilometers from railway station. The temple has many beautiful paintings, sculptures and handiwork in silver done on the doorway. Walking in the park situated in the temple premises give you a peaceful experience. The temple premises is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset and also the city view. As this is a common visiting place for locals, there are very few guides to be found around the temple.

Before visiting the temple please make sure you’re not carrying any leather items as they are not allowed inside the temple premises. Also you’re not allowed to take camera inside, it’s a rule not to click any pictures not even from your mobiles.

The best time to visit Bikaner is from December to February. As summers are very hot in Bikaner. Visiting time for temple is from 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM. It’s open to all and there is no entrance fees charge at the temple.
